Common Questions

Questions parents ask

Here are the questions parents ask most often.

Traditional therapy is usually 1 hour per week. IOP is structured care 3 days per week, about 9 hours total. It is a step up when weekly therapy is not enough and your teen needs more consistent support.
No. Our sessions run after school hours (typically 4-7pm). Because we're virtual, there's no commute. Many teens report better focus once symptoms improve.
Resistance is common, especially at first. Our clinicians are trained to work with reluctant teens, and the peer group format helps because teens connect with others their age who get it. Many teens open up once they feel understood by the group.
Virtual IOP can be as effective as in-person care for many teens, with the added benefit of easier access and no commute. We are happy to walk you through the research and our outcomes tracking on your call.
The typical program is 8-12 weeks, but we individualize based on your teen's progress. Some teens step down to less intensive support sooner; others benefit from a longer duration. We discuss timing with your family and adjust as progress evolves.
We create a comprehensive aftercare plan including step-down to less intensive services, connection to ongoing therapy, and alumni support groups. We don't just treat your teen and send them off—we build sustainable skills and support systems for long-term recovery.
Our clinical assessment determines the appropriate level of care. If your teen needs more support (like residential treatment) or less (like traditional outpatient), we'll tell you directly and help you find the right fit. We only accept teens we're confident we can help.
We serve Florida families and every group is led by a licensed mental health clinician with adolescent experience. We are HIPAA compliant, and we can share clinician credentials and family references during your call.
