1099 Therapist with Joint Commission Experience

About the role

Kin Therapy is hiring a 1099 therapist to provide outpatient telebehavioral bridge therapy while we prepare for a Joint Commission telehealth survey.

You should expect roughly 8 to 12 hours a week at $100 to $140 per hour, depending on experience. You would carry two to three low-to-moderate acuity adolescent individual-therapy clients, include a parent or guardian when clinically needed, and keep notes, risk screens, treatment plans, and safety workflows ready for review.

The Joint Commission survey may happen while you are providing care. For the right clinician, this role could also include leading the clinical readiness work: reviewing charts, helping the team prepare for mock tracers, tightening documentation workflows, and talking through clinical care processes during the survey window.

What you’ll do

  • Provide individual teletherapy for a small number of adolescent clients
  • Complete intakes, suicide and self-harm screening, safety planning, treatment plans, and progress notes on time
  • Include parents or guardians when clinically appropriate
  • Follow Kin’s telehealth workflow for patient location, emergency contact, guardian availability, crisis escalation, and mandated reporting
  • Keep documentation clear enough that another senior clinician can understand the case quickly
  • Participate in credentialing, privileging, orientation, and chart review
  • Join mock tracer or survey-prep conversations if needed

You’re a good fit if

  • You are independently licensed in Florida as an LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, psychologist, or equivalent
  • You have real experience with adolescents and families
  • You have provided therapy by telehealth and know the safety details matter
  • You have Joint Commission, accreditation, audit, or survey-readiness experience
  • You are confident with suicide and self-harm screening, risk documentation, and safety planning
  • You can write precise notes without needing daily chasing
  • You are steady under compliance pressure and willing to flag gaps early

Contract details

  • 1099 independent contractor role
  • Fully remote, with reliable internet and a private workspace
  • Initial engagement starts with roughly two to three weeks, with the option to extend if there is mutual fit and clinical need
  • Roughly 8 to 12 hours per week
  • $100 to $140 per hour, based on experience
  • Small outpatient adolescent caseload, not an IOP group role
  • Low-to-moderate acuity only
